Why are other RO systems so wasteful

In most households, conventional RO systems consistently operate at their lowest level of efficiency, wasting up to 24 gallons of water for every gallon of filtered water produced.

How?

We all drink water one glass at a time. When a glass of water is drawn from a traditional RO system, the system will then try to 'top off' the reservoir. Because significant back pressure has built up in the almost-full reservoir, it is difficult for water to enter. The WSP series spin down sediment filter is the first line defense to your appliances. It protects and extends the life of your standard filters by removing the large dirt, sand, and rust particles before they reach the rest of your plumbing system, including water softeners and expensive appliances.

Easy Maintenance

The WSP series is flushable and reusable. It is recommended to flush it regularly (daily or weekly), depending on the water usage, sediment amount and the hardness level. However, as hardness tends to form hard scale that clogs the screen, simple flushes may not be sufficient. When necessary, remove the stainless steel cartridge and clean it with a brush and/or soak it in vinegar.

Installation:

Installation Will Require:

- Two 1" NPT female connectors and enough tubing to connect from the water softener to your existing plumbing. You may have copper, PVC, CPVC, steel or PEX plumbing. Each of these plumbing types may require different materials and different tools for installation.

- A drain is necessary for the regeneration or recharge process. Drain tubing is supplied, but if your drain is further than 10 feet away, you will need to purchase enough 1/2" tubing to reach your drain. The drain should not be more than 30 feet away from the softener and the drain line should not be elevated more than 8 feet above the base of the water softener.

- The power cord (transformer) needs to be plugged into a 110V continuous live outlet (standard). The unit comes with a 10-foot power cord.
