6 Stages of Filtration
Stage 1: 5 mircon polypropylene sediment filter removes sand, silt, dirt and rust particles (replaced every 6-12 months).
Stages 2 & 3: 5 mircon coconut shell carbon block filters reduce chlorine, taste and odor (replaced every 6-12 months).
Stage 4: High-quality 80GPD TFC reverse osmosis membrane rejects impurities in water down to 0.0001 micron (replaced every 2-3 years).
Stage 5: Inline coconut shell post carbon filter for reduction of chlorine, taste and odor (replaced every 2-3 years).
Stage 6: USA made calcite remineralization filter to increase water alkalinity/pH (replaced every 6 months).
About Reverse Osmosis
Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that uses pressure to force water molecules through a semipermeable membrane to remove impurities and contaminants. The 0.0001 micron pores in the membrane prevent the larger molecules of dissolved impurities from passing through with the smaller water molecules. The result is clean, high-quality drinking water without the hassle of purchasing bottled water.
